Defensive Pistol Course

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to carry and use a concealed pistol with confidence.

They will develop the knowledge, skills, and techniques of a defensive mindset, and operate a firearm ethically and responsibly.

Regardless of your experience prior to entering this course, upon completion, your gun handling, marksmanship, and defensive skills will be better than they have ever been and you will be able to safely and easily draw your weapon from a CONCEALED holster and fire two,sighted shots to the center of a target 5 yards away.

During the four-hour course, a certified instructor will teach students the following:

• How to draw from a holster or purse.
• Shooting both weak and strong hand
• Low light shooting
• Shooting from cover
• Reholstering.
• Mental awareness and preparation.
• Techniques for avoiding life-threatening confrontations.
• Explain the physiological changes that may occur during an attack.
• Flash sight picture.
• Reloading under stress.
• Clear common stoppages.

200 rounds of ammunition required, Two Magazines, Holster and a Flashlight

Firearm, Holster and Ammo Requirements:

The firearms must be fully functional, have all factory-installed safety devices intact, and have no dangerous modifications (such as a "hair" trigger less than 4 pounds, removed trigger guard, etc.). "Pocket Pistols" are not allowed due to their very small size and difficulty of use. Holsters must correctly fit the firearm, completely cover the trigger guard, remain open when the firearm is removed, not allow the firearm to cover the shooter`s body, and not have a trigger guard retention device (such as the Blackhawk Serpa model and others). Factory ammunition is required, NO reloads.
